Two questions often asked by prospective families are what types of high schools do Quest graduates attend, and how do Quest students transition from the Montessori environment to more traditional, non-Montessori schools. The answers to these questions are simple.
Quest students attend all different types of high schools. Quest alumni currently attend and have attended large public schools like North Kingstown High School, Portsmouth High School, and East Greenwich High School as well as smaller private schools like Moses Brown, Providence Country Day, Prout School, Rocky Hill, and Wheeler.
From data gathered by Quest administration and faculty, Quest alumni do very well academically and socially in the traditional high school environment, regardless of size. Quest students typically place into honors and Advanced Placement classes. Their Montessori experience has taught them to be comfortable discussing academic and social topics with peers and teachers in any academic setting. A Quest graduate’s Montessori experience provides the foundation to easily work with all types of students from varying backgrounds. Quest students graduate with a strong sense of self and an understanding of who they are and how they learn. These skills translate to success in the traditional high school no matter the location.
