It’s been a long time, and the girls are finally back! Construction to our campus had the Quest chickens on vacation for a year and now we are happy to have 13 hens back in residence. The chickens will be cared for by Lili, a Middle School student “Chicken Manager” and integrated into the programs and chore schedule on all levels. The hens have settled in to their new coop nicely and have started laying already.
To celebrate their return, a few lucky hens were brought to the classrooms today for introductions. The children are very excited to have them back on campus as outdoor entertainment, and eager to start collecting eggs and learning more.
