On Thursady night March 8, the middle school class presented a dramatis personae performance based on conversations imagined between the founding fathers. The setting was a tea party at Dolly Madison’s house. Students discussed, in character, many of the issues that were important to the formation of a new nation.
Students also presented their independent research projects. The middle school has spent the majority of the year studying the effects of water quality on local ecology. For the science fair, students were tasked with extending what they had learned and exploring a related topic more deeply. Student research was excellent and adhered to a strict scientific rigor. While not all results were what was expected, everyone found a great deal of success.
